Love Lacing Lion Craft
What I love about Valentine’s Day now are the same reasons why I used to think it was cheesy. Which it can be, but I now get the fun. It’s a day overflowing with hearts and love, and finding a way to incorporate that in everything we do. And our Valentine’s Day Love Lacing Lion Craft is such a fun way to incorporate all that heart and love in how we play and craft with our kids.
Our Valentine’s Day Love Lacing Lion Craft is a paper plate lacing craft first and foremost, using yellow yarn to make the lion’s face. Then, we used a heart hole punch to surround his face in a royal mane full of heart. It’s a perfect celebration of Valentine’s Day. Full of wild and crazy and colorful and sometimes untamed, force of nature awesome happy love.
Most of all, though, this Valentine’s Day Love Lacing Lion Craft is just really fun to put together. And to do that, we started with a dessert size paper plate. Cut a circle out from the inside and punch holes around the edge. Then, lace with yellow yarn.
You will also need red, orange, yellow, and scraps of black paper, googly eyes, a black pom. Plus the usual scissors, glue, and tape to hold the yarn in place.
