I love coffee. Like, I would honestly marry it if I could kind of love. I also fully believe my coffee loves me back. I am completely lost in the mornings without a cup, or two. It helps open my eyes, clears my head, and helps prepare me for the day.

On those really rough mornings, though, that’s where the second cup comes in.

A good, hot cup of coffee is a wonderful start to a cold morning. My true indulgence, though, are iced coffees, particularly Iced Mochas. Piled high with whipped cream and drizzled with chocolate syrup, it’s like a morning dessert with a kick. An I love you even more, if you will. I’ve turned my mom onto them, too.

While at Walmart on one of my shopping trips, I noticed they now have McCafé coffee! Made with 100% Arabica Beans and harvested from the rich soils and mountainous regions of the foremost coffee-growing areas of the world, McCafé is now available in premium bags and coffee pods with 8 flavors to choose from.

I even showed up just in time for a McCafé demonstration to learn some information and taste a sample. Only building my excitement more, I couldn’t wait to get home and brew some up in my Keurig.

I picked up another package of coffee to wrap up in a McCafé Iced Mocha Gift Basket. With whipped cream, both chocolate and caramel sauce, as well as a coffee mug, this makes a great last minute gift idea for the person in your life who loves coffee so much they want to marry it. Or, even if they just like it the normal amount. Like normal people. You don’t need to go crazy.

Making an Iced Mocha at home isn’t as easy as just taking one to go, but still pretty easy. Brew your McCafé coffee, the stronger the better. While that’s brewing, put some ice in a glass. If you can make and chill your coffee ahead of time, that’s even better. Pour in ¼ cup of your coffee. Fill your glass the rest of the way with milk. A few good squirts of chocolate sauce and stir that all together. Top with whipped cream, more chocolate drizzle and a drizzle of caramel, too. Oh my word!

  1. Oh no! I’m a huge coffee addict (although I’m not quite ready to marry it! haha!) This is so going to get me into trouble! I had no idea I could brew McCafe coffee at home! I see a shopping trip in my VERY NEAR future! Oh, and only 2 cups a day? I don’t know how to stop after one–or two–or… You get my point. 🙂
