This is such a fun card craft to make for mom, and so easy, too! It requires only a few supplies, mainly paper. The flowers are so simple to make, too, using only circles folded and glued together to pop off the page!
For our Mother’s Day Pop Up Handprint Flower Card you will need cardstock in brown for the base of the card, green for the stems, as well as red, yellow, and pink for the flowers. You will also need cardstock for the hands, as well. The remainder of the supplies include a 1.5” circle paper punch, scissors, and a glue stick.
Mother’s Day Pop Up Handprint Flower Card
Supplies needed:
- Cardstock – brown, green, red, pink, yellow, blue, purple, etc.
- 1.5” circle paper punch
- Scissors
- Glue stick
Begin by tracing the little one’s handprint on colored cardstock.
Cut out the handprint.
Now cut 6 thin strips from the green cardstock.
Apply glue in the center of the card, which is simply a full sheet of brown cardstock folded in half. Glue the stems in place, grouped together in the middle. Make some a bit taller than others so all the flowers fit.
Apply glue on the palm of the handprint. The thumb should be pointing up when placed on the card.
Then position in place over the stems. If you have extra handprint like we did, you can either fold it over to the back and glue in place like we did, or simply trim off.
Now punch 4 1.5” circles from the flower colors. Fold each in half.
Then glue one side of one circle to the side of the next circle. When done, it should pop up!
And glue over the top of the stem on the card.
Until mom has a full bouquet! Then just write your Mother’s Day message on the inside of the card.
Such a pretty card and one that mom or grandma will love this Mother’s Day! Be sure to check out more of our Mother’s Day crafts from kids at Our Kid Things, too!
