Nature Stick Pirate Ships Craft
Ahoy, matey! Arrrr you ready for the craft idea we’ve got for you today? Yes, these Nature Stick Pirate Ships Craft are really fun!
These Nature Stick Pirate Ships Craft are super simple and I love when we can put together projects using items we find in our backyard. We make it like a scavenger hunt first, then the nature craft after. This is also a great all season craft, as sticks are everywhere. And we’ve used them before in our Paper Plate Owl in a Fall Tree Craft and this Stick People Nature Craft.
Well, shiver me timbers! Quite literally, actually, as for our Nature Stick Pirate Ships Craft you will first need to gather a bunch of sticks in varying sizes. Try to find ones that are as straight as you can. You will also need black and white felt, scrap squares of brown cardstock, scissors, and hot glue.

Supplies needed:
- sticks from the backyard – varying sizes

First, lay out your bunch of sticks.
Begin layering the sticks, starting with the smallest on the bottom of the boat, to the longest at top. The amount of sticks you’ll need will vary depending on widths of sticks. Hot glue sticks onto the square of cardstock. Once all glued, trim any excess paper.
Cut a triangle of black felt. Cut a design from the white felt. This can be a skull and crossbones, simple star, or anything you want. Lay the black triangle on its side and glue the white felt in the center.
Glue triangle onto the back of another stick. Then, glue black triangle onto the back of another stick. Glue that stick vertically to the front of the other sticks. And you’re ready for the high seas!
