New Year’s Eve Glitter Rings
I hope all of your holidays have been happy thus far! We had a very Merry Christmas and the kids have been busy playing with their new stuff while they’ve been off school. Which also explains my absence this week. But, we did have time for some crafts and I wanted to be sure to share these fun kids New Year’s Eve Glitter Rings with you!
A little last minute as there’s only a few days left of this year as of this writing. This craft is so quick and easy, however, that you can literally make it last minute and have it ready as the New Year’s ball drops in Times Square.
For our New Year’s Eve Glitter Rings, you’ll need large foam star stickers, number stickers, sparkly pipe cleaners, and your trusty hot glue gun. You’ll also need glitter. We used silver, but gold would work great, too.
These New Year’s Eve Glitter Rings are such a fun way to ring in the new year! And, of course, easy to customize for any year to come. Plus, who doesn’t love playing with glitter? Well, kids love it, anyway.
New Year’s Eve Glitter Rings
Supplies needed:
- large foam star stickers
- number stickers
- silver or gold glitter
- sparkly pipe cleaners
- hot glue gun
- scissors
First, work over a folded piece of scrap paper for easy glitter clean up. Then, peel off the paper exposing the sticky side of a foam star sticker. Apply a new year number. Sprinkle glitter onto the scrap paper and dab the sticky side of the sticker into it until covered. Repeat until all numbers are made.
Cut a pipe cleaner in half. Making sure the number is positioned correctly, flip onto the back and apply a line of hot glue. Affix pipe cleaner. Let dry.
Measure the child’s finger that will be wearing the ring to fit and twist excess pipe cleaner around until it’s secure.
Here’s to a very Happy New Year! Be sure to check out more New Year’s ideas and crafts at Kid Things!
