Oh the Places You’ll Go Hot Air Balloon Craft
Supplies needed:
- Hot Air Balloon Template
- Cardstock – brown, white, blue, pink, purple, yellow
- Photos
- Yarn
- Glue stick
- Scissors
Begin by printing the Hot Air Balloon Template on white cardstock. Cut the pieces out.
Trace the hot air balloon shape on pink, purple, and yellow cardstock. Cut out.
Cut the cloud shapes out of the white cardstock printable as is. Then cut the rectangle and trace on brown paper. Also gather a child’s picture to use in the basket.
Fold the rectangle according to the dotted lines.
Now snip two strands of yarn. Glue the yarn inside the folds of the basket.
Glue the picture to the top of the basket. And glue the basket folds closed.
Then glue the basket in place on a full sheet of blue cardstock just by the folds, so that the basket still pops out a bit. Also stretch out the yarn and glue the other ends in place.
Then glue the 2 clouds in place on the cardstock.
Next, fold each of the balloon pieces in half. Glue one side of one balloon to the side of the next balloon.
And so on until the balloons pops out when opened.
Now glue the balloon above the basket, covering and securing the strands of yarn in place.
And you have a really beautiful, pop out 3D effect hot air balloon craft that’s great to go with Oh the Places You’ll Go, but can definitely be a keepsake craft on its own, too!
