This is a sponsored post for Smucker’s. All opinions are mine.
This week is the start of school around here. Before we bid farewell to our summer break, however, we made sure we took advantage of one more exciting day of family fun with an excursion to our local zoo!
Remember those Animal Faces Lunch Bag Ties I shared last week, with the free printable? They were my hint for the fun trip I had planned and a great idea to tie in all the animals we were about to see on our day at the zoo!
Of course, I had to fill those lunch bags with the great snacks we picked up from Walmart. Walmart is my SNACKATION destination, our one-stop shop to stock up on go-to summer snack solutions.
Before snacks, though, we saw penguins. This guy here stole the show, jumping on the highest rock and completely showing off. It was obvious to tell who was the star around here.
We then measured our wingspan against an Eagle’s.
And watched giant tortoises!
And lazy bears, oh my!
I love zoos. They’re one of my favorite places to visit with kids as there’s always so much to see. We were having a great time learning about all the animals and watching all their funny mannerisms.
Before long, however, I started to hear rumbles of, “I’m hungry!â€.
Since hungry kids can be more dangerous than a hungry lion, I began to look for an area where we could sit and have a bite. We then came across a couple of benches situated around the duck pond, a lovely scene to eat our Smucker’s snacks by.
I packed Jif To Go Dippers with Pretzels in each of the bags along with a Peanut Butter and Grape Jelly Uncrustable. In bags with an animal tie to match each of the kids. With a monkey for my Buzz, giraffe for Jedi, and feisty lion for Abby, it was easy to tell which bag was for who.
They were just the snacks we needed to recharge and wander around the rest of the zoo. Where we ran into some goats who I’m sure would have loved a couple pretzels and peanut butter, too.
Where would you go on #snackation?
My kids live on uncrustables when we take road trips or outings like this. They will gobble up several at a time… I also love the single peanut butter
Looks like an awesome day at the zoo! We love zoos especially when they have interactive things like the wingspan which makes it so educational, too. The pretzel dippers look yummy!

These are the perfect snacks to bring to the zoo! We love going to our local zoo and we were just there last Thursday. I could have used these.
