Paint Splatter Snowy Winter Trees
As we’re currently in the middle of the second substantial snowfall this year, it only makes sense that we have a snowy craft, too. This Paint Splatter Snowy Winter Trees Art Project is not only great for keeping the kids busy during a snow day, but it’s paint splatter. Which means you get to play with paint and fling it around. Which could make a mess. And that makes it fun.
When it comes to paint techniques, I’m a really big fan of paint splatter. This art project is a simple idea with a beautiful result, too. We’ve also done Paint Splatter Snowflakes, Paint Splatter Pine Cone Craft, and our Paint Splatter Monster Puppets, too.
For our Paint Splatter Snowy Winter Trees you will need blue cardstock, brown and black markers, white paint, and two paint brushes. Simple!
Paint Splatter Snowy Winter Trees
Supplies needed:
- Blue cardstock
- Brown and/or black markers
- White paint
- 2 Paint brushes
Begin by drawing a tree design on a full sheet of blue cardstock.
We used a light blue cardstock as well as a dark blue cardstock. Draw the tree in either black or brown. Color the tree in.
Now pour a substantial amount of white paint on a paper plate or the like.
Load a paint brush with the white paint.
Tap the loaded paint brush with the other, dry paint brush. Continue tapping until you’ve achieved a snowy scene.
This is such a beautiful winter snow craft and art project! Be sure to find more of our fun winter craft ideas at Our Kid Things!
