Paper Bag Fall Tree Craft
Fall is an absolutely stunning season, in my opinion. Just the scenery of changing colors and beautiful trees makes it mesmerizing. And we’re celebrating all the beautiful fall trees, while having some fun with paper bags, too, with our Paper Bag Fall Tree Craft!
I do love a good paper bag craft. It’s right up there with my adoration for fall. Just for the fall season alone we’ve made this Paper Bag Hedgehog Craft and our Paint Splatter Monster Puppets, which are perfect for Halloween, in addition now to our Paper Bag Fall Tree Craft. Though really, it would be easy to alter the colors of our fall trees for any season.
For our Paper Bag Fall Tree Craft you will need brown paper lunch sacks, a 1” circle paper punch, glue stick and glue, clear tape, and scissors. You will also need cardstock in green, red, orange, and yellow.
Paper Bag Fall Tree Craft
Supplies needed:
- Paper lunch bag
- Cardstock – green, red, orange, yellow
- 1” circle paper punch
- Clear tape
- Glue stick & glue
- Scissors
Begin by making the leaves of your fall tree.
To do this, cut a large wavy edge circle from a sheet of green or orange cardstock.
Now, punch a bunch of circles using the 1” circle paper punch from the red and yellow paper.
Use the glue stick to glue red circles onto the green cardstock like apples. Glue red and yellow circles onto the orange cardstock.
Take a paper bag and make cuts down from the top, where the bag opens. These should be of somewhat varying length.
Twist the bottom of the bag.
And begin twisting the branches. Take a few strips of the cut bag around your finger and gently twirl around. The twist should retain most of its shape.
Now glue the ends of the twisted branches onto the cardstock.
And glue the trunk, as well. The trunk may have a hard time staying in place, which is where you would need the tape. Simple tape around the trunk and to the cardstock if needed.
