Paper Bag Gingerbread Man Craft
It’s starting to feel like Christmas around here, and we’re taking full advantage of the upcoming holiday with some super cute crafts like this Paper Bag Gingerbread Man Craft! We had so much fun putting this together. It’s such a cute Christmas craft for kids.
The main body of our gingerbread man craft is a paper bag. It makes the perfect base. Then, use our Free Printable Gingerbread Man Template for the other pieces. Those pieces consist of a circle for the head, two arms, and two legs.
As with the gingerbread cookies, though, the best part is the decorating. We used a white chalk marker as well as circles of red and green as buttons to dress up our gingerbread man. Finish him off with some pink rosy cheeks and he’s ready for Christmas.
Christmas Gingerbread Man Paper Bag Craft
For our gingerbread man craft, you’ll need to print our gingerbread man template.
Then, gather a brown paper lunch bag, a ⅝” circle paper punch, white chalk marker, black sharpie, scissors, and a glue stick. You’ll also need cardstock in brown, black, pink, red, and green.
Paper Bag Gingerbread Man Craft Supplies Needed
- Gingerbread Man Template
- Brown paper lunch bag
- Cardstock – brown, black, pink, red, green
- ⅝” circle paper punch
- White chalk marker
- Black sharpie
- Scissors
- Glue stick
Gingerbread Man Craft Step by Step Directions
Begin by printing the gingerbread man template on brown cardstock.
Cut out the pieces.
Now, cut the main body of a paper bag in half.
Glue the circle to the flap of the bag.
Glue the arms in place at the sides of the bag.
Then, glue the legs in place at the bottom of the bag.
Next, with a ⅝” circle paper punch, punch 2 circles each of pink, black, red, and green.
Add the black circles for the eyes.
Draw a mouth with a black sharpie and add the two pink circles for cheeks.
Glue the red and green circles for buttons down the front of the gingerbread man.
Finally, use a white chalk marker to draw gingerbread details across the gingerbread man’s limbs.
Draw the details on the top of his head, too, to complete this adorable Christmas gingerbread man craft.
