Paper Bag Puffy Heart Bear Craft
This Paper Bag Puffy Heart Bear Craft is so bear-y cute! It’s a perfect little gift to make for Valentine’s Day, or just to show someone you care. And we’ve included a Free Printable Template so it’s extra easy.
I’m really having fun with bear crafts lately. Our Paper Strip Polar Bears Craft is a recent favorite and I’m also so fond of these Paper Cone Brown Bears. What I really love about this Paper Bag Puffy Heart Bear Craft is that it reminds me of an actual teddy bear. And of course, the puffy heart that gives the craft some added dimension.
For our Paper Bag Puffy Heart Bear Craft, you will need a brown paper lunch bag first of all. That’s what all the pieces are cut out of. The rest of the supplies include a black marker, red paint, stapler, 1” paper punch, scissors, and glue.

Supplies needed:
- Puffy Heart Bear Free Printable Template
- Brown paper lunch bag
- Black marker
- Red acrylic paint
- Stapler
- 1” paper punch
- Scissors
- Glue
First, print the free printable template and cut the pieces out. Cut the bear body from the bottom folded flap of the bag. It should just fit, and you’ll actually make 2 circles because you’ll cut through both sides. One of the sides is the body. With the other side, use the bear head circle as a guide and trim away excess. Glue the head onto the body circle.
Next, using the 1” hole punch, or scissors and the template, cut 7 1” circles from the bag. Since there are multiple layers in the bag, each punch will create 3 or 4 circles so you should only need to make 2 punches.
Then, glue 2 of the circles on the head for ears. Glue one towards the lower half of the head for the muzzle. Another two will be the feet. The remaining two will be the arms. To the back of the body circle, glue as close to the edge of the arm circles as you can so most of the circle isn’t glued. Fold over the body.
Draw lines with a black marker for fingers and toes, ears, eyes, a nose, and smiley mouth.
Now, cut a heart out of the remaining bag.
Staple 3 sides of the heart. Keep enough to open to stuff scraps of the paper bag. Tear small pieces and carefully stuff into the heart. Don’t overfill. Once it starts getting difficult to close, carefully staple the rest of the way shut. Shape filling around the heart if needed.
Paint the heart red. Let dry.
Finally, glue puffy heart in the hands of the bear.
