What’s really fun about these paper bag sharks is that they remind us of Baby Shark. So they’re more cute and cuddly and nothing scary, a really sweet shark craft to make with even the littlest ones for Shark Week as well as all summer long.

Cute Paper Bag Shark Craft

To make our super cute paper bag shark craft you will first need to print our paper bag shark template.

Craft supplies needed.

You’ll also need brown paper lunch bags, acrylic paint in your choice of colors, cardstock in corresponding colors plus red and white, medium sized googly eyes, a glue stick, and scissors.

Shark Paper Bag Craft Supplies Needed

  • Paper Bag Shark Template
  • Brown paper lunch bags
  • Acrylic paint – your choice of colors
  • Cardstock – corresponding colors, red, white
  • Googly eyes, medium
  • Glue stick
  • Scissors

Baby Shark Craft Step by Step Directions

Begin by painting a brown paper lunch bag. You will need 2 shades of the same or close to the same color. You’ll need a lighter shade and a darker shade. We used silver and gray, light and dark blue, and also purple and maroon.

Paint top of bag darker shade.

Paint the top, flap area of the bag with the darker shade.

Paint bottom of bag lighter shade.

Then paint from the flap down with a lighter shade. Let all the paint dry completely.

Cut out mouth and teeth.

While the paint is drying, print the shark template on white cardstock. Cut out all the pieces. Trace the mouth on red cardstock and cut out. Leave the jagged teeth white.

Trace and cut out triangles for fins.

You will also need to trace and cut the triangles from a corresponding color of cardstock.

Glue mouth under flap.

When the paint is dry, glue the mouth under the flap.

Glue jagged teeth under flap.
Shark mouth and teeth.

Glue the teeth in place under the flap, too.

Add googly eyes.

Add googly eyes.

Glue large triangle to top of bag.

Lastly, glue the larger triangle to the top of the paper bag.

Glue fins to sides.

And the smaller triangles at the sides of the paper bag.
