Shelf Elf Craft Step by Step Directions
Print the template. The template includes – head, hair, hat, hat pompom, gloves, sleeves, trousers, and collar. Select red, white, black or brown, and pink colored papers for various pieces of the elf.
Trace the template patterns on the selected craft papers and cut out the traced pattern.
Now, glue the glove cutouts with the sleeve cutouts and glue the circle pompom on the tip of the hat cutout.
Glue the hair cutout on the top part of the head cutout.
Cut out 2 round shapes from darker pink paper for the blush cheeks then draw and cut out a pair of eyes of your choice from white craft paper. You could also use large googly eyes.
Add the blush cutouts and the eyes on the head. Use a sharpie to draw the face of the Elf.
Attach the hat pattern on the top side of the head.
Now, grab a paper bag. Cut a piece of red paper for the shirt to cover the front side of the paper bag, from under the flap down.
Attach the collar cutout on the prepared red paper. This is the shirt of the Elf puppet.
Attach the legs cutout on the bottom side of the shirt pattern.
Attach the body pattern on the paper bag, with the collar under the flap.
Now, glue the head to the flap.
Finally, attach the arm patterns on both sides of the paper bag Elf to complete the puppet.
Such a cute Christmas craft that I know you all will love as much as we do!
