Turn a few strips of paper into some beautiful flowers that pop from the page with our simple Paper Loop Flower Craft. This is a really lovely spring flower craft for kids of all ages, with a really fun, 3D-style end result.

It’s amazing how much depth and life a simple loop of paper can bring when crafting. We’ve made all kinds of these paper loop crafts, because it’s just a really neat way to bring whatever it is you’re crafting to life. Something more than just a flat piece of paper.

Simple 3D Paper Flower Craft
To make our paper loop flowers you will need cardstock or construction paper in blue, green, yellow, and your colors of choice. You will also need scissors, glue, and a 2” circle paper punch.

You can use either cardstock or construction paper to make your flower loops. Construction paper will hold together a bit easier. We used cardstock.
Paper Loop Flower Craft Supplies Needed
- Cardstock – blue, green, yellow, your flower colors of choice
- 2” circle paper punch
- Scissors
- Glue
Paper Flower Craft Step by Step Directions
Begin with a full sheet of blue cardstock for the background.

Punch a circle from yellow cardstock with the 2” circle paper punch. If you don’t have a punch in this size, you can always cut it out with scissors freehand.

Glue the circle to the paper where you’re going to want your flower. You will need a circle for each flower you’re making on the paper.

Now, cut your flower color of paper in long strips, each roughly an inch wide. Cut each of those strips into 3 pieces. You will need 7-8 little strips we found for each flower.

Next, apply glue on one of the strips. Bring the other end around and secure in a loop. When using cardstock, you will need to hold the ends together with the glue for a few moments just to make sure it sticks. Construction paper will stick together easier.

Then, apply glue around the outside of the yellow circle and start positioning the loops in a circle.

Continue gluing the loops in a circle until the flower is complete.

The next step is to cut a simple stem out of green cardstock.

Repeat these steps for the other flower on the page.

Finally, cut some long leaf pieces from the green cardstock and glue the leaves in place on both flowers.

This craft definitely has me loopy, in the best possible way.
