Paper Loop Jack-O-Lantern Craft
This Paper Loop Jack-O-Lantern Craft is a great last minute Halloween craft! Make a pumpkin face, staple the loop together, and add a fun green pipe cleaner coil!
We’ve been really enjoying the 3D effect of paper loop crafts lately. It’s so fun to see the craft come to life by popping from the page. These jack-o-lanterns are slightly different as they’re stapled to a brown strip stem. We then added a curly pipe cleaner, too.

To make our Paper Loop Jack-O-Lantern you will need orange paper and brown cardstock. The thin, printer style paper works best for the jack-o-lantern while the brown stem works best if it’s heavier. Also needed are shiny green pipe cleaners, a black marker, a hole punch, scissors, and a stapler.
Make a Simple Paper Jack-O-Lantern
Supplies needed:
- Orange paper
- Brown cardstock
- Green pipe cleaner
- Single hole punch
- Black marker
- Stapler
- Scissors
Begin by cutting the strips for your jack-o-lantern.
You will need to cut a full sheet of orange paper into roughly thirds.
And then a brown strip roughly half the size of the orange strip. Cut in half, then trim a curve at the top of the brown strip.
Now, use the black marker to draw a jack-o-lantern face in the center of the orange strip.
Bring into a loop and staple together.
Then, staple the orange loop to the brown strip, with the curved part coming out from the top of the jack-o-lantern. Trim if necessary.
Next, punch a hole along the bottom of the stem.
Cut a shiny green pipe cleaner in half. Curl around your finger.
Then gently remove and insert the end into the hole. Twist to secure.
