Paper Olympic Torch Step by Step Directions

Begin with one sheet each of red, orange, and yellow cardstock.

Cut jagged edges from red, yellow, and orange paper.

Cut each color into large jagged shapes.

Layer the colored cardstock.

Then glue the layers onto each other, starting with red on bottom, orange, then yellow.

Glue flame to back of gold cardstock.

Next, glue the flames onto the top of the gold colored sheet of cardstock. Let the glue dry.

Cut about a 2 inch strip from bottom of gold cardstock.

While the glue is drying, cut about a 2” or so strip from the bottom of the gold cardstock.

Roll up torch and tape to secure.

Now, roll the torch up. Tape to secure the ends.

Fold long edges of strip.

Cut the strip to fit around the torch. And fold up the long edges to give a slightly elevated look from the rest of the torch.

Tape to secure strip to top of torch.

We used glue as well as tape to secure the strip around the top of the torch.
