Paper Plate Apple Crafts
If you’re looking for fall crafts that are perfect for toddlers, then you’re going to love our Paper Plate Apple Crafts. We’re showing how to easily stamp a paper plate three ways, with three different materials, each with slightly different results, yet each still very red and distinctly apple.

We had a lot of fun making these easy fall toddler crafts by using a cotton ball stamp, a sponge, and a cardboard roll. Each of the three ways are a fun way to paint an apple. It was neat to see the different results from each material, too. Then, all you need is to make and attach a stem.

Stamped Paint Paper Plate Apple Crafts
To make our paper plate apple crafts you will need paper plates, red and brown acrylic paint, wood clothespins, green pipe cleaner, and scissors. Then, for the stamps, you’ll need cotton balls, a cardboard roll, and a sponge.

Stamped Apples Paper Plate Craft Supplies Needed
- Paper plates
- Acrylic paint – red, brown
- Wood clothespins
- Green pipe cleaner
- Cotton balls
- Cardboard roll
- Clean dish sponge
- Scissors
Paper Plate Apple Crafts Step by Step Directions
Begin by painting some wood clothespins a deeper brown.

Set the clothespins aside to dry.

Now, pour a generous amount of red paint on a flat surface. We like to use another paper plate. Also, gather your stamps. You will need a toilet paper size cardboard roll for one stamp. For another stamp you will need to cut a strip from the clean sponge, about 2” wide or so, just so it’s easier to handle. Then, for the third stamp, clamp a cotton ball in another clothespin.

We’re starting with the cotton ball stamps. Dip the cotton ball in the red paint.

Then continue stamping all across the paper plate until covered.

Let the cotton ball stamped apple dry completely.

Next, we’re stamping with the sponge. Dip one end of the sponge in the paint.

Then use the sponge to stamp across the paper plate until it’s covered with color.

Set the sponge stamped apple aside to dry completely.

For our third apple, dip one end of a cardboard roll in the red paint.

Use the cardboard roll to stamp paint around the paper plate until it’s covered. The cardboard roll won’t cover as well as the sponge and cotton ball, but it will still give a great, fun look.

Let the cardboard roll stamped apple dry completely, too.

Lastly, when all the paper plates are dry, cut a green pipe cleaner into thirds. Make simple loops from each of the pieces and twist the ends together to secure.

Clamp one of the previously painted clothespins onto each of the paper plates. Secure one of the green pipe cleaner loops in the clothespins, as well.

Super fun apple paper plate crafts done 3 ways! Stamp just one of these ways to make your apples, or do all three. Such a great toddler fall art project!
