Paper Plate Bauble Craft
This Paper Plate Bauble Craft is a very simple Christmas craft that’s sure to make a big statement with a large punch of bright colors and creative decorations!
We decorated our Paper Plate Bauble Craft very simply with paints and our favorite shiny metallic markers with a bow of yarn, but you could definitely get ultra creative with yours! Sequins, buttons, glitter, and fun designs! As you can see, the ways to decorate these baubles is only limited by what you can imagine!
To make this Paper Plate Bauble Craft like we did you will need sturdy paper plates, acrylic paints in Christmas colors, metallic markers, a white marker, black cardstock, yarn, a glue stick, and scissors.
Paper Plate Bauble Craft
Supplies needed:
- Paper plates
- Acrylic paint – red, blue, green, yellow, etc.
- Metallic markers
- White marker
- Black cardstock
- Yarn
- Glue stick
- Scissors
First, flip the paper plates over so the curved bottom is showing. This is why you need sturdier plates, for the more rounded effect.
Now, paint the plate in your choice of Christmas colors. Let dry completely.
Once dry, use the markers, or your choice of embellishment, to decorate.
Cut a square and half circle of the same width from a piece of black cardstock. Cut out the inside of the half circle, leaving a clasp. Glue the pieces together.
Then glue the paper clasp to the top of the bauble.
Finally, make a bow from a strand of yarn and glue along the clasp. We then cut more yarn to hang our baubles from.
This is such a simple craft but I love the end result! Looking for more fun ideas for Christmas?
