Paper Plate Easter Bunny Craft
Easter is almost here, but we have time for one more Easter bunny craft! Especially when it’s as cute as this adorable Paper Plate Easter Bunny Craft!
This Paper Plate Easter Bunny Craft also has the cutest bobble head that bounces from the bottom plate. You can either just bobble it laying flat, or it helps the bunny stand up. All with his cute little cotton tail on top, as if it’s digging in the dirt. I’ll try to stop saying cute now, but really. How cute!
We have more cotton tail bunny crafts, too. There’s this Handprint Bunny Tail Craft, our Cardboard Lacing Cotton Tails, and our Bunny Behinds Paper Plate Craft. So many fluffy bunny tail ideas!
For our Paper Plate Easter Bunny Craft you will need 2 paper plates each. We used the smaller dessert size plates. Also needed is paint in bunny colors, paper in bunny colors, and medium poms in bunny colors, too. Small-medium googly eyes, a black marker, a ⅝” circle punch, scissors, and a glue stick are the remainder of the supplies.
Paper Plate Easter Bunny Craft
Supplies needed:
- Small paper plates
- Acrylic paint – grey, pink, blue, etc.
- Light cardstock – pink, blue, white, etc.
- Poms – pink, blue, white, etc.
- Googly eyes, small-medium
- Black marker
- ⅝” circle punch
- Glue stick
- Scissors
Begin by painting 2 of the paper plates. Paint the bottom of one plate and the inside of the other. In the below instruction we actually painted the pieces after we cut them out, but it’s truly easier to just paint the plates first.
Set the bottom painted plate aside. This one remains intact. The painted inside plate, cut out the inner circle. Then, from the plate that’s remaining, cut out two ears and two smaller circles, too.
Cut a flat edge on both of the smaller circles.
From a different color of the light cardstock, cut two inner ears. Use the ⅝” punch to punch a circle for the nose.
Glue those in place.
Use the black marker to draw whiskers, a mouth, and toe lines on the flat edge of the smaller circles.
Adhere googly eyes.
And glue the feet to the back of the circle, so that the flat edges are on the bottom.
Now cut two strips from the light cardstock. Glue in an L shape.
Fold one over the other. Glue the ends in place.
Glue to the back of the bunny, up in the center near the ears.
Then position on the paper plate.
Finally, finish by adding a pom for the tail.
This bunny sure makes us hoppy! Be sure to check out all of our fun Easter crafts for kids at Our Kid Things!
Hello good morning, I have not stopped looking at the crafts that are well focused for children, I am working with elderly people and I have thought to use that very beautiful craft that you have used, if it is not too much trouble.
Finally, I have read all the steps that must be started when making the rabbit, what I do not understand very well is how the parts of the rabbit come out: the head, ears, etc.. you do not have to measure for more or less calculate and make the parts?, I will wait for your answers eagerly, thanks.
Garazi – you make the head with the small circle- you add the eyes, ears, feet, and other facial features to the head. Then, you take the pink two strips of cardstock and glue them together to make a “L” and then, “Fold one over the other. Glue the ends in place.”
Then, “Glue to the back of the bunny head, up in the center near the ears.” (see picture above).
“Then, position on the paper plate.” (on the second paper plate) – see picture above.
Then, finish the bunny. I hope that helps you and you can make this craft with the seniors.
