Paper Plate Handprint Pineapple Craft
Pineapples are sweet, but not as sweet as our Paper Plate Handprint Pineapple Craft. Because not only does it include some sweet little handprints, but it also incorporates their fingerprints, too.
We tripled the fun on our pineapples by using some fun colors for the skin, too, like blue and purple. Of course, we also used your typical pineapple colors of brown and orange. It’s fun to switch it up, though!
Make a Handprint Pineapple Craft
To make our Paper Plate Handprint Pineapple Craft you will need paper plates, acrylic paint in yellow and other assorted colors, green paper, scissors, and a glue stick.
Paper Plate Pineapple Craft Supplies Needed
- Paper plate
- Acrylic paint – yellow, brown, orange, blue, purple
- Green paper
- Scissors
- Glue stick
Paper Plate Handprint Pineapple Step by Step Directions
Begin with a dinner size paper plate.
Paint the paper plate yellow. Let dry.
Once dry, cut jagged edges along two of the edges, forming the plate into more of an oval shape.
Now, trace two handprints on green paper. Cut out the handprints.
Glue the handprints together at the pinky edge, then glue to the back top of the paper plate.
Next, dip your finger in another paint color of choice. Brown and orange are typical colors, but it’s fun to mix it up, too.
And begin making prints across the pineapple skin. Pineapple skins are very uniform, so the more uniform you can make the prints, the more pineapple-y it will look.
Your adorable summer pineapple craft is now complete! And oh so sweet!
