Paper Plate Lacing Pumpkin Craft
Our Paper Plate Pumpkin Lacing Craft is a perfect Halloween craft for kids in so many ways. It’s a fun pumpkin craft, a spider and web craft, as well as an easy paper plate craft, all in one. It’s a perfect craft for not only those reasons, though, but it’s also great for working on fine motor skills, too.

We’ve been a longtime fan of lacing crafts and yarn crafts in general. Any time you can add some fun texture with yarn, it’s a win. Plus, of course, yarn just makes the perfect material for a spider web. It’s a fun Halloween craft all around!

Pumpkin Lacing Spider Web Craft Step by Step Directions
Start by painting a paper plate orange.

Let the paint dry completely.

Once the paint is dry, cut out a circle from the inside of the paper plate.

Now, take a single hole punch and punch holes around the cut out circle.

Cut a long strand of black yarn. Tape one end of the yarn to the back of the plate. We also like to wrap the other end in a small piece of tape so that it’s easier to thread through the holes.

Lace the yarn through the holes randomly.

Continue until all the holes are filled.

Then, make an easy spider in the cardstock color of your choice by punching a circle with the 1” circle paper punch and 8 skinny legs. Glue all of it together.

Bend the legs, add simple dots for eyes with a black marker or pen, and glue to the web.

Lastly, cut a rectangle from brown cardstock for the stem. You can get fancy with a curve or whatever, but a simple rectangle works just as well. Add lines going down the stem with a brown marker.

Glue the stem in place to complete this super cute Halloween pumpkin craft!
