Leprechaun Paper Plate Mask Craft
To make our leprechaun mask you will first need to print the leprechaun hat template. The remainder of the supplies include heavy duty paper plates, orange paint, cardstock in green, black, and yellow, green marker, a jumbo craft stick, scissors, and glue.
Leprechaun Mask Craft Step by Step Directions
Begin by gathering a paper plate and orange acrylic paint. You will want to use a heavy duty, sturdy paper plate for this craft.
Paint the paper plate orange. Let the paint dry completely.
While the paint is drying, cut out all the pieces for the hat from the template. Trace the large square-ish piece, and longest rectangle on green cardstock. Trace the remaining rectangle on black cardstock and the small square on yellow. Cut out all the pieces.
Then, glue the black rectangle towards the bottom of the large green piece.
Next, glue on the longest green rectangle for the brim of the hat.
Top off the hat with the yellow square buckle. We used a black marker to color a square in the center of the yellow cardstock.
Now, with the paint dry, have an adult carefully insert some pointy scissors in the center of the plate and cut out the inner circle.
Glue the hat to the top of the plate.
Finally, add a craft stick to the bottom of the plate. We painted our craft stick green, but this is an optional step.
You’re all ready to run off and find your pot of gold with this St. Patrick’s Day craft!
