This Paper Plate Pumpkin Lacing Craft is so quick and easy, making it the perfect last minute craft or a great idea to see you through the fall season. Because fall is all about pumpkins and it doesn’t stop at Halloween!
It’s no secret, we love paper plate lacing crafts. There’s our Mummy Lacing Craft, Apple Lacing Craft, and our Cardboard Lacing Hearts. But we’ve also done a Ghost Lacing Craft, Lion Lacing Craft, Lacing Turtle, and Lacing Ladybugs. It’s clear to see that we really like lacing crafts! So of course we’d share a Paper Plate Pumpkin Lacing Craft, too!
For this Paper Plate Pumpkin Lacing Craft, you will need a paper plate, hole punch, orange paint, orange yarn, a green pipe cleaner, and scissors.
Paper Plate Pumpkin Lacing Craft
- Paper plate
- Orange craft paint
- Orange yarn
- Green pipe cleaner
- Hole puncher
First, use a single hole punch to punch holes all the way around the edge of your paper plate.
Then, paint your plate orange and let dry.
Weave an orange piece of yarn in and out of the holes and tie the ends into a knot on the backside of the plate or secure with clear tape.
Wrap a green pipe cleaner around your finger to curl it. Then, tie the pipe cleaner into two holes on the plate to make the pumpkin stem.
If you want to make this for Halloween, you could easily draw a Jack-O-Lantern face on the pumpkins with a black sharpie. It would be fun to see how many funny faces or scary faces you can create! But this craft is great just to celebrate the fall season, too. Because pumpkin pie, anyone? And be sure to check out more of our fun fall crafts at Our Kid Things!
