Sometimes you just need a fun and simple craft, and that’s what you get with our Paper Plate Zebra Craft. It’s fun, it’s easy, our zebras are leaping in the air, they don’t require any paint or mess, and the result is really quite awesome.
There’s something to be said about the simplicity of a white paper plate and a black marker. It’s a stark contrast. And I think that’s why we all love zebras so much, too. Mother nature is amazing, and she knows how to get it right.

Zebra Paper Plate Craft Step by Step Directions
Begin with white dinner size paper plate.
Cut the plate in half.
Use a black marker to outline the inner circle of the plate, as well as the edges.
Now, draw lines in a random pattern in the outlines area.
Next, draw where you want the legs at the ends. Color the end of the legs in black for the hooves.
Cut out the legs.
Then, use the semicircle piece that was cut from the inner plate to form a head and ear shapes. Color in a black muzzle on the head.
Continue using the black marker to draw a few lines across the face. Use the white pen to mark nostrils and a mouth. And color inside the ears with a pink marker.
Cut the pieces out. Glue the ears to the back of the head shape and add googly eyes.
Glue the head to the body piece, above the legs.
Then, cut a rectangle strip from the black paper.
Form fringe along one edge of the black paper.
Glue the black paper to the zebra, starting between the ears for the mane.
Finally, trim the excess fringe from the mane.
