Paper Strip Christmas Tree Craft
Supplies needed:
- Cardstock – green, assorted colors
- Paper straws
- Single hole punch
- Pen or marker
- Glue stick
- Scissors
Begin by cutting long paper strips from a sheet of green cardstock.
You’ll need 3 paper strips per tree. Glue the ends of the paper strips to each other so you have 1 really long strip.
And begin folding.
Back and forth, starting larger until it gets to the smallest tip. Smallest, but still wide enough to punch a hole.
Now go through a few paper strips at a time and punch holes using the hole punch. Use the previous holes as a guide.
Insert a paper straw through the holes.
Separate the paper and shape into a tree.
Draw a star shape on the other colors of cardstock. You can use star stickers, as well, or instead.
Glue to the front of the top of the tree.
This craft is so cute grouped in a stand on the center of the Christmas table, or just as a fun craft with the kids! And be sure to check out all of our fun Christmas craft ideas on Our Kid Things!
