Pasta Bees Craft
Here’s an understatement for you, I do not like bees. In fact, they are right there at the top of my “horrified of†list. I’d rather run across a giant spider than a swarm of bees, it’s that bad. I do, however, happen to love bee crafts, as do the kids. And this Pasta Bees Craft are my kind of bees.
That’s right, these cute little bees are made from pasta. The main body of our Pasta Bees Craft is rigatoni and the wings are macaroni. Which really stands out against the black cardstock.
Add a couple curly yellow antennae, a yellow cottonball for their little bzzz-y head, and a couple googly eyes for the only swarm of bees I’d want to run across.
Pasta Bees Craft
Supplies needed:
- rigatoni & macaroni
- black cardstock
- yellow construction paper
- small yellow cottonballs
- black sharpie
- small googly eyes
- white crayon
- glue
- scissors
Gather your supplies. Cut 2 thin rectangles of yellow paper and curl one end of each.
Glue them in place on the black cardstock. Glue a yellow cottonball over the glued ends of the yellow paper. Glue googly eyes on top of the cottonball. Press and secure it all in place.
Color lines around the rigatoni with your black sharpie. Glue that under the yellow cottonball. Take 2 macaroni noodles for each wing and glue those in place, as well, along the side of the rigatoni. Finally, take a white crayon and make flight marks across the black paper.
There’s nothing to be afraid of here, unless you’re scared of pasta. Be sure to check out all the other fun spring and summer craft ideas and recipes at Our Kid Things!
