For our bracelets, I used old clothes that either didn’t fit anymore or had stains. Those of us with kids, I’m sure we have plenty there to choose from, right? Cut the fabric into small strips, start about 3 or 4 inches. You can always cut off the excess. I also used the bottom hem of a white shirt for the bracelet base. Then, just wrap around your base and tie into a knot!

Supplies needed:

  • red, white, and blue fabric
  • scissors

Cut a long piece of the hem from the bottom of a shirt. Tie a knot at one end, leaving enough hanging to tie around a wrist. Then begin cutting your small strips, about 3 or 4 inches of alternating red, white, and blue fabric.

Wrap one strip of fabric around the long hem piece and tie in a loose knot. Push down towards knot at end of bracelet, then tie tighter. Continue in a red, white, and blue pattern until bracelet is covered. Tie around wrist and tuck or snip off any excess.
