Peanut Butter & Chocolate Heart-Shaped Crescents
Food is the quickest way to a person’s heart, as the saying goes. It’s true, though. Particularly when it’s sweet. And for me and my kids, too, there is no wrong when it’s chocolate.
Love is chocolate. Chocolate is love.
I picked up a jar of Peanut Butter Chocolate spread at the store, found around the peanut butters and other spreads, and while I easily could have eaten the entire jar with a spoon, I reluctantly agreed to share. So before it was all gone, I made these Peanut Butter & Chocolate Heart-Shaped Crescents for my kids and family as an early Valentine’s Day treat.
We’ll definitely be having these again before Valentine’s Day, though. With a dollop of Peanut Butter Chocolate spread filling between crescent rolls cut out to the shape of a heart, the only way to make them better is with a few peanut butter chips, too.
Without overfilling, add just enough that you can pinch the edges together with a fork to hold it all in without spilling out. Also, keep dough as cool as possible throughout the process, because the warmer it gets, the more misshapen it will bake up. Then bake for 10 minutes on a 375 degree oven or until just golden brown. These sweet crescents are a tasty way to find your way into someone’s heart. With a heart.
