Supplies needed:
- Shiny pipe cleaners
- Cardboard roll
- Star stickers
- Twine
- Single hole punch
- Scissors
Begin by cutting a cardboard roll into strips.
The strips will need to be about an inch wide. You can get 4 strips of a necessary size out of a toilet paper roll, but you could also use a paper towel roll.
Punch 6 holes down the length of the cardboard roll strip. Make sure the holes are spaced enough apart that they won’t tear or punch into another hole.
Now take 3 pipe cleaners. Cut the pipe cleaners in half.
Insert one pipe cleaner through a hole. Try to make sure there’s equal amount of pipe cleaner on both sides.
Lace one end over and back through the hole, then pull tight to secure. Lace the other end the opposite way to secure.
Once all holes are filled, trim the pipe cleaner in a staggered, Christmas Tree-like pattern.
Stick a star at the very top of the tree. Make sure the top of the star is above the tree.
Cut a loop of twine and stick the ends of the twine to the star. If needed, apply another star on the back of the twine to fully secure.
