Pizza Grilled Cheese Dippers

This is a sponsored post for Nature’s Harvest®. All opinions are my own.

My kids are pretty boring when it comes to their sandwiches, which is why it’s sometimes fun to introduce some sandwich art or these Pizza Grilled Cheese Dippers. They usually like a classic pb&j, and don’t try to get fancy with it. In fact, my oldest doesn’t even like the j. He just wants a pb. Where’s the fun in that?

The fun must come by way of the bread, then. For their pb&j, and the hold the j’s, I’ve been using Nature’s Harvest® whole grain varieties. Did you know that 56% of American consumers are already trying to add whole grains into their diet? Why not with your bread!

Available in multiple varieties at Walmart, not only do Nature’s Harvest breads taste great, but families can count on at least 8g of whole grains baked into every serving. This makes them “The easy choice for whole grains.” There are also no artificial flavors, colors or high-fructose corn syrup in any of their varieties.

It makes a regular pb&j that much better.

Nature’s Harvest whole grain breads aren’t just great for peanut butter and jelly, though. I made Chocolate Spread Roll-Ups with their Nature’s Harvest Honey Wheat variety, which is on rollback for $1.97 nationwide only at Walmart. Simply spread your chocolate hazelnut spread on a slice of Nature’s Harvest Honey Wheat, then roll up. Cut off the 3 sides of crust, leaving the edge you begin to roll with. Secure with 2 toothpicks and gently slice. Everyone can agree on this tasty treat!

And, to expand their sandwich horizons, I also came up with these Pizza Grilled Cheese Dippers. Take pepperoni, a slice of mozzarella cheese, and grill it until the cheese is gooey. Then slice so you have 3 long pieces, perfect for dipping when you serve with a cup of pizza sauce! A pizza cutter makes this easier. For a more adult version, also grill tomatoes between the cheese and pepperoni. I know my kids well enough to know they wouldn’t go for that, though.

  1. These would have my crew dancing for joy. They love grilled cheese ..anything! This would be a great way to “sneak” in more goodies with the bread. Great idea!

  2. How cool! My kids are funny about sandwiches, too. Mine don’t like PB or J but they do love cheese sandwiches. And of course, they love pizza. Adding whole grain is always a win, too.
I will have to try this!
