Everyone has had a Slinky at one time or another. It’s part of the vision of an American childhood. But did you know that the famous Slinky is made right here in America, manufactured by POOF-Slinky, Inc., located in Plymouth, Michigan.

To celebrate the 50th anniversary of the Slinky, there is a special edition Rose Gold Slinky that comes in a musical box, playing the recognizable “It’s Slinky” song. My daughter was especially fond of the Slinky, and I love knowing that now she gets to enjoy such a childhood staple, too.
POOF-Slinky makes more than Slinky’s however. It puts many local Americans to work by manufacturing everything from foam planes to board games. Like the Our America family board game.

Our America is a family game best for ages 8+. It celebrates America, and our history. To play, each player gets their own board and chooses a pawn in their choice of color. You move along by answering corresponding trivia questions.
Available on Amazon, Our America is a great game for kids to learn about the hisotry of the United States. Though I also learned quite a few new things, too. We all had a lot of fun, and isn’t that how learning should be?
I received the product free to review from the PR firm or company. No other compensation was received. Opinions are mine.
