It’s the time of year for one of my favorite holidays, Halloween! I just love this time of year all around, the colors and scents of fall. Halloween, though, is the holiday of creativity and imagination. Not only do kids need to think up their costume, but we get to express our artistic side by carving pumpkins!
We were sent a pack of Pumpkin Masters carving kits to carve our pumpkins this year. I have to say, there were so many stencils to choose from, each with their own set of tools. The tools included were sturdy and made it through our carving just fine, though I do admit I broke one of the knives.
Since I’m used to doing your typical face on our pumpkins, not very creative there, I was a bit apprehensive to try anything more elaborate. However, it was surprisingly easy to follow along the lines! I may be a bit biased here, but I think the pumpkin my kids and I carved is award-winning. Or at least much nicer than usual.
After it was carved, we inserted one of the flashing lights and voila! Happy Halloween! It still needs cleaned out a bit, but for the most part we are very happy with it.
Pumpkin Masters is available nationally at Target and Walmart, and at your local grocery, drug, or craft store. Each kit provides the perfect economical activity for the family to enjoy the holiday together as well as well as a much easier and safer carving experience than kitchen knives.
