It’s about that time to start using Santa and Christmas to keep our kids behaving well. I know I’m not the only one that does that. In fact, there are elves and books and even online videos with letters that can be personalized and sent for just that. It’s a time-honored tradition, passed down from parents before us.
And now, there are reindeer.
Roaming Reindeer is a tale of two of Santa’s reindeer, Gus and Sam. Noticing that Santa is overwhelmed by the naughty list this year, they decide to work together and help Santa by visiting all the girls and boys. Keep reading for your chance to win this storybook set!
Gus is the watcher, he sticks around to keep an eye on things. While Sam is saddened and runs away to tell Santa whenever he sees someone being naughty. Of course, Gus and Sam alone can’t visit every kid in every home. So, when they run out of time to visit all of the rest of the children, the two reindeer decide to enlist their friends in pairs of two to help.
This new family tradition is a take off of that familiar Elf guy, only better as there’s no need to create new and elaborate displays every night. Simply set the Roaming Reindeer on a shelf as they keep watch. Does someone in the house belong on the naughty list? Remember that the one reindeer needs to report back to Santa about what he’s seen.
We read the story and set our reindeer up this past weekend. My kids are still thinking up names. So far, they’re both just keeping an eye, though I’m sure they already have a notebook full of stories to tell Santa.

About Roaming Reindeer
Parents use a storybook and two plush reindeer to encourage good behavior at Christmastime. When one reindeer goes missing, he’s off to tell Santa who’s been naughty and nice. This new family tradition comes in a keepsake box for its holiday season debut and means no more setting up elaborate Elf scenes at night.
