This shop is part of a social shopper marketing insight campaign with Pollinate Media Groupâ„¢ and Rubbermaid and Sharpie but all my opinions are my own. #pmedia #RubbermaidSharpie http://cmp.ly/3/8vNxcO
Are you ready for some football! That’s not so much a question anymore as an exclamation, because it’s just that time of year. Everyone is gearing up for the biggest football game of the season, showing their pride in face paint and team logos. With only a few teams left to square off during playoffs, there’s a buildup of excitement in the air for super fans and those who are just anxious for the commercials alike. Who will it be?
On Sunday, it was a playoff game of New England vs. Denver. I wanted to make sure the occasion was really fun, so I headed to Target for Rubbermaid Food Storage containers and Sharpies. Though not before I texted the word COUPONS to TARGET to get the latest coupons available. Starting January 25-February 8, Rubbermaid and Sharpie will both have $1 off coupons available through texting Target! But for now, I had an idea!
A game within a game!
The Chip Champ Game
Items needed:
- 2 Rubbermaid bowls
- Sharpie markers
- Chips of your choice
I call it the Chip Champ Game. It’s a fun party game within a game while watching the big game. Take one Rubbermaid Food Storage bowl for each team. I love these big Rubbermaid bowls because not only do they hold more, but more people can reach in at the same time. Use a Sharpie to write one name of a team on the bowl, the other name on the other bowl. I used blue for New England and red for Denver. Fill with chips.
Then, it’s a friendly competition for bragging rights! Take your time and graze until the end of the game or stuff your face in a race. Not only are you snacking, but whoever accomplishes an empty chip bowl first for their team are obviously bigger, more dedicated fans. Their team is then the winner, despite the outcome of the actual football game.
According to our little family get-together Chip Champ Game, we are bigger fans of New England. Never mind the fact that they lost their championship playoff game, most of us seemed to prefer taking a chip from that bowl. Go Pats, anyway! While football is a great choice for this time of year, the Chip Champ Game can be used while watching any sporting event spent with good friends. It’s just another way to make your game day memorable.
Now that is a really fun idea. I’ve never thought to do that, but if I ever host a football party, I will definitely be doing this! Pinning for future use.
That’s too funny and a great way to give little people a way to get involved in the game!
What a fun game. You can do it for almost anything even veggies to get the kids to eat ’em! And I love the bigger containers makes it easy to put left overs in without making a mess.
What a neat idea! We will have to try this since we don’t really care either way.
This sounds like a fun addition to the big game day. Of course, I don’t watch football, but I love all the foods and excitement that comes with it.
What a fun game! Go Seahawks!
@Billie @ Rowell Reviews, To be honest, I’m not really a big football fan myself. I’m much more excited for the commercials and food! The game itself, eh, which is why I try to add in other ways to have fun with it.
Cute family game idea. 🙂
What a fun way to make the game a bit more interactive.
Neat idea, will try this later today – hope I have enough rubbermaid.
