This is going to be a better new year. So, I’m declaring 2016 the year of no more ice cream. Who’s with me?
Any takers? OK, maybe I won’t banish ice cream from our freezer completely. That wouldn’t be better, actually. That would be awful. I mean, there’s nothing wrong with a chocolate cone every now and then. Moderation is what I’m after. It’s time to broaden our horizons, so to speak. Though I’m sure that will last about a week before I’m all, forget it. I want more ice cream!
I tend to refrain from making New Year’s resolutions. They just don’t work with me. I’m going to exercise every day, I say! Then the next day I’m all, eh, I’ll do it tomorrow. I’m sure you know what happens when tomorrow comes around. But I would like to make a few simple changes. A step or two toward a more conscious effort to be more present, more fulfilling, more content. I want this new year to be better for us. As such, I’m ready to do better. Included in that is the food we consume while at home.
That also includes what my kids eat when they’re at school. When it comes to lunches, it’s easy to get in a rut of your same old peanut butter and jelly.
It’s time to go beyond your same old peanut butter and jelly.
In January and February 2016 at Walmart, Del Monte will be hosting a themed “Better for You Lunchbox†booklet on 1 million packages of it’s Fruit Cups until supplies last. Included in the booklet will be $6.25 in instant coupon savings from great lunchbox brands including: Del Monte®, Pepperidge Farm®, Welch’s®, Diamond Foods, NatureSmart, Saputo®,and Musco® Olives.
Are you ready to make 2016 a better new year? Be sure to check out the “Better for you Lunchbox” booklets starting in January on specially marked Del Monte® Fruit Cup packages at Walmart stores nationwide. Also, come back in a few days when I share what other fun goodies I’m putting in my kids’ lunchboxes to get them even more excited about a better lunch!
