As a mom to 3 very hungry, and picky, kids, it’s important that I prepare budget friendly meals that everyone will enjoy. Quick and easy is also a must. I’d rather not live my life in the kitchen, especially during the summer when there are so many other fun activities we’d rather do than spend a day preparing dinner.
Times are tough for many around the 1st and 15th of every month and ever concerned about making sure our ends meet, I’ve become accustomed to preparing most dinners for $20 or less. This is even easier to do when I shop at Walmart, where the Kraft products that I need for simple dinners are on rollback. This time, I picked up a box of Velveeta Cheesy Skillets for our main course. For our side, I made our own Zesty Italian Cheesy Bread with Kraft Zesty Italian, Kraft Italian blend Shredded Cheese, and lots of fresh herbs!
First, you want to begin to prepare the Velveeta Cheesy Skillet as directed on the box. For ours, I selected the Chicken Broccoli dinner kit. While the chicken was browning, I began our Zesty Italian Cheesy Bread.
I picked up this giant loaf of fresh Italian bread at the bakery of my grocery store for under $3. I cut it in half, so there are 2 sides. 1 side will be plenty per meal, so we’ll have enough garlic bread to go with 2 meals. That’s less than $1.50 per meal!
Spread Kraft Zesty Italian on the open side of your bread, let it soak in. Top with lots of fresh herbs. Catching these great deals on rollback at Walmart means we can save money without sacrificing taste!
Top with plenty of Kraft Italian-blend Shredded Cheese. Bake at 350 for about 15 minutes, until everything is toasted and melted and yum! If all goes well, your Cheesy Skillet meal and the Zesty Italian Cheesy Bread should both get done at about the same time.
A fresh, homemade meal for under $20 when you #RollintoSavings that takes less than 30 minutes. Now that’s a great dinner!

Ohhh, the bread you make sounds and looks delicious. I never would have thought to put the Italian dressing on it. The kids and I love garlic bread and cheese bread so I am going to have to try this sometime! Thanks for sharing.
