Are you ready for game time? Whether you’re hosting a big group of friends on the big day or it’s simply you and the kids cheering on your favorite college basketball team, I have a great snack and dip idea that’s sure to please everyone!
Because it uses Cheez-It products and bacon!
I happened to be at Target when I passed by the Cheez-It aisle. They would make the perfect scooping device for this Cheesy Bacon dip! They were even on sale, 3 boxes for $8 at Target. You can also use Target’s Cartwheel app to save an additional 35% off of this sale price when you buy 3 Cheez-It varieties.
When I saw that, I had to grab boxes of Cheez-It Grooves in Sharp White Cheddar and Cheez-It Scrabble Junior.
The Cheez-It Grooves are packed with flavor and the grooves are great at holding on to plenty of dip. I thought the letters of the Cheez-It Scrabble would be fun to incorporate the names of the teams for game day or fun sayings like “Game on!”.
More than scooping, though, I wanted to make Slam Dunk Cheez-It Bacon Dip Sandwiches. That’s right, Cheesy Bacon Dip in a Cheez-It sandwich bite. You don’t even need to be the biggest basketball fan to enjoy this snack.
She shoots! She scores! Because it has bacon. Cheesy bacon, at that.
I also set out a bowl of the dip with a cute Slam Dunk sign. Simply decorate a rectangle of brown cardstock with the words Slam Dunk, cut it out, then tape to a toothpick.
For the Slam Dunk Cheez-It Bacon Dip Sandwich Bites, I took a large tablespoon of the dip and poured it into a storage bag and cut off a large bit of the corner. Then, with a Cheez-It Grooves cracker, I piped on a dollop of dip then applied a Cheez-It Scrabble until I spelled out the words “Game On!”. You can also spell the names of the teams playing or the tournament your party is watching.
Spread some more Cheez-It crackers around the plate and you have a party recipe that everyone will enjoy!

What is your favorite Cheez-It flavor? Have you ever used Cheez-Its in a recipe?
I didn’t know they existed in sharp white cheddar. I’ll be getting me a box or several of those!
MOUTH.IS.WATERING. My kid love Cheez-It’s and would have these gone in no time!
The problem with this is that I would probably sit my butt on the couch and eat all of it myself! Drool worthy treat!
Where have I been that I had no idea that there are variations on traditional Cheez-Its? I’m loving the Cheez-It Grooves and the Cheez-It Scrabble options and having this party spread would definitely be a hit!
That recipe does sound like a slam dunk. How could you go wrong with bacon though?
Too cute! And they sound like a delicious snack. I can’t wait to try this idea with the kids.
How cool is this? I didn’t even know they had Cheez Its with letters. Sweeet!
yum!!! These look amazingly delicious and easy to make!!
Perfection! These little sandwich bites look SO GOOD and would be great for game day or any other get together!
This is the best dip! We call it “crack dip” because it is so addicting!!
That sounds like a yummy dip! And I love the basketball theme.
I love the Scrabble variety of the crackers – great for helping kids learn letters. And bacon. Perfect. 🙂
This dip sound so delicious! But then again any dip with cheeze its is amazing!
I can see the kids having a ball playing with the Cheez-It. There very own scrabble. Recipe looks good as well.
Woah! The Scrabble version of Cheez-Its is awesome for gameday parties. I just finished filling out my brackets, but now I kinda wish that I had picked bacon and cheese to win all the way through…haha! Looks delicious! #client
these look so easy to make. I just wish I could still eat the Cheeze-It’s. They were my favorite cracker before I started a gluten free diet.
Oh my goodness, that bacon dip sounds SO GOOD. It would be perfect for college football game days in the fall, since we are always watching with a crowd.
Now this is my kind of recipe. I think my kids would LOVE it too!
