We have a super simple paper craft for you today! Simple crafts are usually some of my favorite. The kind where you don’t have to hover over and make sure no one’s getting frustrated because they can’t quite get it just right. Aside from the Butterfly Template, you will need craft paper in assorted colors. You could also use decorative scrap paper for decorating the wings or color your own patterns, too. Then, just a pencil for tracing, scissors, glue, a black gel pen, and a pink sharpie are the rest of your supplies for this super simple, colorful spring craft!
Smiley Butterflies Paper Craft
- colored craft paper
- glue stick
- black gel pen
- pink Sharpie
Print and cut out the patterns from the template. Place the cut out patterns on the selected colored craft papers and trace around the sides. Use scissors to cut out the traced patterns nicely.
Attach the two teardrop patterns from the template on the top side of the wings and the two circle patterns on the bottom side of the wings.
Take the oval pattern and draw the smiley face using black gel pen. Use pink sharpie to create two blush patterns on both cheeks of the butterfly smiley face. You can add more or less details as you wish. Attach the smiley oval pattern right on the middle of the wing pattern.
Finally, attach the two small strips at the back side of the top end of the smiley oval pattern.
