Since my daughter has been in kindergarten, she’s been sick no less than 3 times. Nothing that’s been too hard to handle, just your regular cold that goes around. A cough, a runny nose, and a nap when she usually doesn’t.
Through it all, though, she’s always smiled. And that’s how I know she’s really ok. If I can make her smile it’s not that bad for either of us since I don’t like to see her sick either. She has the biggest smile that lights up a room only made brighter when she starts to feel better.
TYLENOL® knows all about the power of a child’s smile, which is why they’ve teamed up with Alyson Hannigan to launch the SMILING IT FORWARDâ„¢ campaign. As a name that’s been associated with bringing “feel better†smiles to us and our kids for generations, TYLENOL® now aims to garner 100,000 smiles in order to help the 85,000 low-income urban and rural children who are served by Children’s Health Fund each year.
About Children’s Health Fund
Founded in 1987 by singer/songwriter Paul Simon and pediatrician/advocate Irwin
Redlener, MD, Children’s Health Fund is the nation’s leading pediatric provider of mobile-based healthcare for homeless and low-income children and their families. Children’s Health Fund currently has a fleet of 50 mobile medical clinics serving hundreds of locations across the country, including schools, community shelters and homeless shelters. For more than 25 years, the organization has provided three million healthcare visits to disadvantaged children, often in places where doctors and healthcare providers are in short supply.
How You Can Help
From now until January 31st all you have to do is simply smile it forward. For every photograph uploaded to SmilingItForward.com, TYLENOL® will make a $1 donation to Children’s Health Fund, up to $100,000. By sharing your smiles, you’ll be helping to ensure a doctor’s visit is always within reach for children in need.
I’m SMILING IT FORWARDâ„¢ for swings on the swing set and bug excavations in the backyard. All the things I know my kids don’t feel like doing when they’re sick. Will you be SMILING IT FORWARDâ„¢, too?
