Most of our catapult is held together by rubber bands. Quite a few rubber bands, actually. Don’t worry, though, this isn’t complicated at all.

Then, gather your game players. You can either play with 2 players and place the scoring cup on a table to catch the Goldfish crackers, or 2 teams of 2 players each. That way, one person on a team can catapult and the other can catch the Goldfish crackers with the cup.

Whoever has the most Goldfish crackers in their cup at the end of the game is the winner! Except really, everyone wins because everyone gets to eat their cup of Goldfish crackers at the end. It really is The Snack That Smiles Back®!

Supplies needed (for each):

  • 9 regular craft sticks
  • 1 large craft stick
  • plastic spoon
  • 8 small rubber bands
  • 2 bendy straws
  • 1 large, milkshake straw
  • 2 plastic cups
  • Goldfish crackers
  • hot glue (or stronger for extra hold)
  • scissors

First, gather 5 craft sticks and wrap the ends with a rubber band so they’re secure. Take 2 more craft sticks and wrap one end with a rubber band. Insert the 5 craft sticks inside the 2 craft sticks. Slide as far as you can against the rubber band end. Wrap another band around where the craft sticks meet to secure.

Take a plastic spoon and secure the top with a rubber band. Wrap the bottom with a rubber band as well, around the same area you wrapped to secure the 2 sets of craft sticks together. This way, it’s double wrapped. Wrap the whole thing onto one of the large craft stick with 2 rubber bands.

Fold the smaller end of a bendy straw so that it inserts into the other bendy straw. Take 2 craft and place the inserted section of the bendy straw into the tip of the craft sticks and wrap with a rubber band to secure.

Finally, cut a piece of the milkshake straw to the size of the craft sticks. Apply a generous amount of hot glue to the other side of the large craft and adhere the bottom of the straw. Let dry. Insert craft sticks, raise bendy straws for your field goal posts, get out your plastic cups with Goldfish crackers, and play!
