Sponge Stamped Fall Tree Craft
Who doesn’t love a fun and easy art project? What about a fall tree art project? Well you’re in luck, because you’re going to love this Sponge Stamped Fall Tree Craft! Such a great fall craft for kids of all ages, from toddlers and beyond, with an absolutely stunning end result.
For our fall tree art craft, we’ve included a Free Printable Bare Tree. This way, all you need to do is print out the tree, cut out the simple leaf sponges, and start stamping. I’m telling you, it doesn’t get any easier, or any better. Need a few minutes to sip a cup of hot chocolate? Break out the sponges!
Sponge Stamped Fall Tree Art Craft
To make our stamped fall trees, you’ll first want to print our bare tree printable.
You’ll also need heavy white cardstock, a regular kitchen sponge, acrylic paint in red, orange, and yellow, as well as scissors.
Fall Tree Stamped Craft Supplies Needed
- Tree Printable
- White cardstock
- Sponges
- Acrylic paint – red, orange, yellow
- Scissors
Sponge Stamp Fall Tree Craft Step by Step Directions
Begin by printing the tree printable.
You will want to print the tree on heavy white cardstock, as it will hold up better than regular paper.
Then, gather your paint and pour a generous amount of red, yellow, and orange on a flat surface. We like to use paper plates. Also, cut a clean kitchen sponge into simple leaf shapes. You will want to cut a leaf-shaped sponge for each color.
Now, dip one side of the sponge in a color of paint.
Begin stamping across the branches of the tree.
Continue stamping until you achieve the desired look with one color.
Then dip another sponge in another color and continue stamping and layering the different colors. Do the same for the third color until your fall tree is very much a fall tree.
Very much exceptionally, exquisitely, amazingly fall.

This fall tree craft uses a sponge to stamp leaves for a great fall craft with a stunning end result.
Materials
- Tree Printable
- White cardstock
- Sponges
- Acrylic paint - red, orange, yellow

Instructions
- Begin by printing the tree printable. You will want to print the tree on heavy white cardstock, as it will hold up better than regular paper.

- Let the paint dry completely.
