Stacking Cardboard Roll Christmas Tree Craft

The kids will love making and restacking this Stacking Cardboard Roll Christmas Tree Craft!

Stacking Cardboard Roll Christmas Tree Craft for Kids

Do you know what it’s beginning to look a lot like? Well, maybe not a lot like since there’s no snow on the ground or even ice on my car windshield. All the Christmas trees making their way out make it look somewhat like Christmas, though. And some fun Christmas crafts will help it along, too!

For this craft, you can use either 3 toilet paper tubes or 1 paper towel tube, as we did, cut in thirds. Then slice your tube lengthwise and roll into a triangle, making the top of each increasingly tighter. Paint the pieces, stack it, decorate it, and you have a fun Christmas Tree Craft that will help in getting your home, and your mood, to look a lot like Christmas!

Supplies needed:

  • cardboard roll(s)
  • green paint
  • small multi-colored cotton balls
  • 2 foam star stickers
  • toothpick
  • tape or glue
  • scissors

Take your toilet paper tubes or paper towel tube cut in thirds and cut each piece lengthwise. Roll each into a triangle shape and tape or glue together. Paint each green. Let dry.

Sandwich your toothpick between the 2 foam star sticker. Set aside.

Once your cardboard pieces are dry, stack one on top of another. For more height between pieces, I also glued a few spare cotton balls on the inside of the tube, but that’s optional. Stick your star toothpick into the hole on the top of the tube.
