Simple Blueberry Syrup

Simple Blueberry Syrup

Prep Time: 5 minutes
Cook Time: 15 minutes
Total Time: 20 minutes

Ingredients

  • 2 cups fresh blueberries
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 1 cup + 2 tbsp water
  • 1 tbsp cornstarch

Instructions

  1. In a medium saucepan, bring blueberries, sugar, and 1 cup water to a boil. Reduce heat and simmer until berries just begin to burst.
  2. Stir together 1 tbsp cornstarch and 2 tbsp water in a small bowl. Add to blueberries. Mix well.
  3. Continue to let simmer until the sauce thickens.
  4. Can be stored in a jar in the refrigerator for up to 2 weeks.
  5. Use on a dark plate with puffs of white whipped cream, fresh blueberries, and star stickers for a fun breakfast event.
