Single parenting isn’t easy. I don’t mention it often, because we’re making it work, but there are definitely challenges. Not the least of which was highlighted over the weekend when I had to run to the store for cold medicine, taking my 3 kids with me where they proceeded to run amok in the aisles.
There are never enough hands. Or eyes. Or feet to give chase, for that matter.
It makes it so much better when you can find a group to connect with, however. Those who know what you’re going through. To offer advice or just share your struggles with.
If you’re a single parent, I hope you’ll join me tomorrow, Wednesday, August 29, at 1 p.m. ET, for a live, all-text 30 minute chat on The Motherhood, called Succeeding as a Single Parent. The chat can be located here.
Whether you decided to raise a child yourself or it just happened, there are always parenting challenges to conquer. We’ll gather to support each other with advice and encouragement, and share stories about both the good and the not-so-good.
I hope to see you there!
