Super Dad Card
Dads just don’t get enough credit. I mean, I’m a mom and I know what all we go through. But a good dad has just as many super powers. So in honor of all the super dads, I’ve made this very cute, very simple, very super Super Dad Card for Father’s Day!
For more superhero Father’s Day fun, we also have this Superhero Father’s Day Crossword that you can print and give to dad as a fun little game in the morning. And to let dad know he’s the best, award him with our Paper Plate #1 Award Ribbon Craft. But first, he’ll love this Super Dad Card!
To make our Super Dad Card, you’ll first need cardstock in your choice of super dad colors. We went with an orange color for the card body and used red, green, and blue for the capes. Then you’ll need medium googly eyes, scissors, glue, D letter stickers, and a pen.
Super Dad Card
Supplies needed:
- Cardstock – orange, blue, green, red
- Medium googly eyes
- Letter stickers
- Scissors
- Glue
- Black pen
Take a full sheet of regular cardstock. Cut in half width-wise.
Take one of the halves and fold in half.
With another sheet of cardstock that will be used for the cape and mask, cut about a 2 inch wide rectangle along the width for the mask. Also, cut an isosceles trapezoid cape shape from the same color cardstock.
Cut the mask shape just slightly wider than the front of the card. Glue in place.
Then glue the cape on the back of the card.
Glue 2 googly eyes to the front of the mask. Draw a small mouth under the mask.
Cut a square from a scrap the same colored cardstock as the cape and mask. Turn on it’s side so it’s a diamond shape. Glue under the mouth, in the middle of the card. Apply a D sticker or draw a D in the center of the diamond.
Write your Happy Father’s Day message inside the card.
