Sweet Cardboard Frosted Sugar Cookies Craft
When it comes to baking, I’m decent. I mean, the kids have yet to complain and everyone loves a sweet treat, especially around Valentine’s Day. But there’s the whole measuring and mess that it makes. Plus, if you’re baking for a classroom, you never know who’s allergic to what. Trust me, this Sweet Cardboard Frosted Sugar Cookies Craft is so much easier and still super sweet for Valentine’s Day.
What I love about crafts like this Sweet Cardboard Frosted Sugar Cookies Craft is that each cookie comes away unique. The kids can make them however they want, decorated with paint, glitter, sparkles, confetti, you name it.
A dozen cookies can be made a dozen different ways, each one the perfect treat to hand out to friends on Valentine’s Day.
For our Sweet Cardboard Frosted Sugar Cookies Craft you will need a base of cardboard. For this, a shipping box would work, but we went with an empty box of frozen waffles and a cereal box. You will also need cardstock in assorted Valentine colors, scissors, glue, and a variety of supplies to decorate with.

Supplies needed:
- Frosted Sugar Cookies Craft Template
- Cardboard
- Cardstock – assorted Valentine’s Day colors
- Decorations – glitter, stickers, paint, sparkles, etc.
- Scissors
- Glue
If using a cereal box or the like, find where the cardboard is glued together and separate. Make flat.
Form your circles in the cardboard. Use our Frosted Sugar Cookies Craft Template to make it easier. The circles will need to be about 3 inches.
Then, make the same size circles in cardstock. Cut a wavy pattern along just the edges. Glue the cardstock onto the cardboard.
Decorate however you like. We used puffy paint for an icing effect, with hearts. We also decorated with stickers, confetti, and sparkles. Glitter would also be fun, as would writing Valentine’s messages on your cookies for friends.
