Folded Paper Mini Thanksgiving Notebooks
When I was thinking about Thanksgiving the other day, I wanted a way for my kids to document what they were thankful for. I’ve seen these one-page mini notebooks before and they were the perfect base for our Thankful For Thanksgiving Mini Notebooks. No glue necessary, just one folded sheet of paper!
You can make these Thankful For Thanksgiving Mini Notebooks in any color of regular, printer size paper. We chose your basic white, however, because we really wanted what we wrote or drew or pasted inside the pages of the mini notebooks to pop out more than the books themselves.
Then, once the Thankful For Thanksgiving Mini Notebooks are folded, simply take some fine-tip markers and make your own unique Thanksgiving themed cover. They’re such a great way to remember this Thanksgiving, and every Thanksgiving to come, along with everything we have to be thankful for!
Thankful For Thanksgiving Mini Notebooks
Supplies needed:
- White paper
- Scissors
- Fine-tip markers
Begin with a sheet of regular printer-size, A4, paper.
Folding in half the longest way. Then fold that half in half again.
Unfold the first folds and fold in half the widest way. Then fold in half again.
Keep half folded and make 3 center cuts along the folds to the center of the paper.
Fold the center flaps back towards the paper and flip the paper over. Fold both sides down and fold up into the center.
Push out the center of the paper and bring together.
Fold into a book shape. There are numerous videos to show you how to make the general concept for these little notebooks, but I like this one from Red Ted Art if you need more instruction.
Finally, decorate the covers in fall themes with markers. Be sure to place a scrap piece of paper behind the cover before drawing with markers, however, as the marker may bleed through. These would be cute Thanksgiving party favors or little treats for Thanksgiving dinner guests, along with a great way for kids to remember and document what they’re thankful for.
