Tissue Paper Frankenstein Craft

Boo! I’m pretty sure I never want the Halloween season to end. I love this time of year. I love fall and I love watching the kids dress up and, of course, candy. But I really love all the creative and fun ideas that this event brings. And we’re doing our part with our super fun Tissue Paper Frankenstein Craft!

This Tissue Paper Frankenstein Craft uses the same process of layered sheets of tissue paper hardened with Mod Podge as our Colorful Tissue Paper Birds that we made during the spring. But it’s Frankenstein, so it’s also purposely lopsided and a bit more disheveled.

For our Tissue Paper Frankenstein Craft you will need craft sticks, green tissue paper, black construction or tissue paper, Mod Podge, a black sharpie, and different sizes of googly eyes.

Begin by laying out a sheet of green tissue paper.

Arrange 4 craft sticks in a square shape on the green tissue paper. Glue in place. Then begin wrapping the craft sticks with torn off strips of green tissue paper and layers of Mod Podge. Apply a good coat of Mod Podge all over the tissue paper. Cover any holes and keep layering with tissue paper and Mod Podge until it’s completely covered in green. Let dry completely.

When the tissue paper dries, the Mod Podge will make it hard. From here, you can use the black sharpie to make a mouth and scars on the Frankenstein. Also, adhere two googly eyes in different sizes.

Cut a long strip of black construction paper, making jagged edges along one side. Wrap around the top of the craft sticks and glue in place for the hair. You could also use more black tissue paper instead. You’ll also need to cut two rectangles of black paper for the Frankenstein’s monster bolts.
