There is so much I love about fall. I love the changing colors of the leaves and the cooler temperatures. I love haunted houses and Halloween decorations. I love taking my family to fall festivities.
My favorite thing about this time of year specifically are corn mazes and pumpkin patches. We haven’t gone yet this year, but I remember last we had such a fun time going through and finding our way amidst the drying corn husks, even in the biting cold. Another thing I really love about fall is the food.
Food and exercise, that’s where Together Counts comes in.

Together Counts is a nationwide program inspiring active and healthy living. The principle behind this program is energy balance, which means balancing the calories we consume with the calories we burn. It’s all about moderation. This is a first-of-its kind coalition that brings together more than 200 retailers, food and beverage manufacturers, restaurants, sporting goods and insurance companies, trade associations and non-governmental organizations (NGOs), and professional sports organizations.
Because it’s so much easier to lead on the road to maintaining a lifetime of health when you do it as a family. And this fall is a great time to start on the path, even by simply eating meals together as a family or going on a walk. If you’re like me, though, there’s always your local corn maze. Or jumping in a big pile of leaves. However you choose to stay healthy, the best way is to do it together.
To get even more ideas and information on the benefits of staying healthy together, join Together Counts at a Twitter party on 10/17 from 8-9 PM EST with the hashtag #TogetherCounts. You can RSVP here.
We love playing outside as a family! This weather is perfect for it too!
I have not heard of Together Counts. But, family time, doing just about anything is very important. Even though my son is 20, we still do family stuff.
Look how cute your daughter is in the leaves, what a cutie!
That looks like tons of fun!
Such a great campaign–moderation is so much better than restriction!
This program sounds fantastic.
I love the concept
I’ve been loving the fall weather and its been great doing things as a family.
how fun!! We have palm trees in our yard so no leaf jumping for us 🙁
I think it sounds like a great program.
I’m so jealous of your giant leaf pile! I just want to jump in it! I love Together Counts- it’s such a smart program!
Love the photo. I love the fall festival of colors too!
I love fall, my favorite time of year!
I love her enthusiasm in the photo! So genuine.
we are definitely super active in the fall – we go to corn mazes, pumpkin patches etc. It’s pretty easy for us to stay active this time of year!
I’ve been looking forward to fall and cooler (read – 80s) weather so we can all play outside again. Now if only we could get rid of this West Nile, we’d be doing ok.
I love this campaign! And there’s nothing like a big pile of leaves!
Sounds like a great program for encouraging healthy behavior.
Oh, look how big your girl is getting! Will look into this. Fall hikes together are a favorite. Hope you are well!
Best,
Tina
