Washi Tape Spider Craft
Halloween is about the only time when I’m OK with spiders. Well, the little jumping spiders are pretty cute. This simple Washi Tape Spider Craft is awfully cute, too. We love how the washi tape gives a fun pop of color and style to this web-tacular preschool Halloween craft.

For this craft, you’re going to need a few different kinds of washi tape. It’s best to use washi tape in different sizes and colors, as well as patterns. We didn’t use the widest of the tape in our set, but used the thinner rolls. It’s all fun and your spider will come out great!

Simple Washi Tape Halloween Spider Craft
To make our simple Halloween spider craft you will need washi tape, cardstock in black as well as the colors of your choice for the background, large googly eyes, a glue stick, scissors, and a cereal bowl to trace for the spider.

Preschool Spider Craft Supplies Needed
- Washi tape – assorted color/sizes/patterns
- Cardstock – black, colors of your choice
- Googly eyes, large
- Glue stick
- Scissors
- Cereal bowl
Washi Tape Spider Craft Step by Step Directions
Begin by gathering a sheet of black cardstock, as well as the background color of your choice.

We used a cereal bowl to make our circles for the body of the spider. Then cut out.

Glue the circle in the middle of the cardstock, placed horizontally.

Now, rip two small pieces of tape. Place one piece going straight out from the body of the spider, the other bent at a knee.

Continue making legs with the washi tape all around the circle, 4 legs on each side.

Also, place a piece of washi tape at the top of the spider for a string of spider web silk.

Finish the super cute spider by adding large googly eyes. One of the very few times you will ever hear me refer to a spider as cute.
